Welcome to the official Battle of Speed tournament rules, designed to ensure a fair, competitive, and exciting racing experience. This rulebook covers both 1v1 Championships and Club Race (Team vs Team) formats, outlining the game structure, qualification process, race regulations, and fair play policies.

BATTLE OF SPEED: 1V1 TOURNAMENT
OFFICIAL RULES
1. GAME FORMAT

The tournament is played in a 1v1 format.
-
Race Objective: The winner is determined by who reaches the finish line first.
-
Group Stage: Players will race in a large group to qualify for the next stage.
-
Playoff Stage: Qualified players will compete in Best of 3 (Bo3) or Best of 1 (Bo1) depending on the number of participants.
-
This tournament is played online, and participants must use their own internet connection.
2. TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE
2.1. Group Stage (Qualification Round)
-
8 to 100 players will compete in one large race.
-
1 Police AI & 1 Spectator (Marshall/Organizer) will monitor the race.
-
The main objective is to avoid traffic, escape from the police, and reach the finish line to qualify.
-
Players who finish in the top positions will advance to the playoff stage.
-
Qualification for the playoff depends on the total number of participants:
-
8-19 players → Top 4 players qualify for Bo3 Playoff.
-
20-100 players → Top 16 or 32 players qualify for Single Elimination Bo1.
-
2.2. Playoff Stage (1v1 Race)
-
After qualifying from the group stage, players will compete in 1v1 races to progress.

Tournament Format Based on Number of Participants:
-
Below 20 players → Best of 3 (Bo3) for all rounds.
-
20+ players → Single Elimination (Bo1) until Semi-Finals.
-
Semi-Finals & Grand Finals → Always played in Best of 3 (Bo3).

3. RANK REQUIREMENTS FOR TOURNAMENT ENTRY
Each tournament can have different rank restrictions, set by the organizer:
3.1. Tournament Categories Based on Rank
1 Beginner Tournament (Bronze & Silver Only)

For new players.

Only Bronze & Silver rank can enter.

Small prizes or participation certificates.
2 Intermediate Tournament (Silver & Gold Only)
-
For experienced but mid-level players.
-
Only Silver & Gold rank can enter.
-
Medium-tier rewards.
3 Pro Tournament (Platinum & Diamond Only)
-
For highly competitive players.
-
Only Platinum & Diamond rank can enter.
-
Higher cash prizes & possible pro league invitations.
4 Open Tournament (All Ranks Allowed)
-
Open to everyone.
-
No rank restrictions.
5 Invitational Tournament (Top Players & Legends Only)
-
Only invited players based on past wins & rankings.
-
Typically organized by MMG Trading or Battle of Speed Studio.
-
Large cash prizes & sponsorships.
4. POLICE MODE & SPECIAL RULES
-
Police AI may be activated depending on the tournament type.
-
If Police Mode is ON, players must escape from the police while racing.
-
If caught by the police, the player is automatically disqualified from the race.
-
Marshall (Spectator/Organizer) will monitor the race and ensure rules are followed.
5. GAME RULES
5.1. Entry & Technical Requirements
-
Devices Allowed: Mobile Only.
-
Internet: Players are responsible for their own connection.
-
Minimum Participants: 8 players to start a tournament.
-
Maximum Participants: 100 players per tournament.
5.2. Race Rules
-
Track Selection: Random or chosen by the organizer.
-
Bike Selection: Only tournament-approved categories allowed.
-
Police Mode: Depends on the tournament type.
-
Conduct & Fair Play:
-
No abusive language or insults.
-
No unfair gameplay (e.g., intentionally blocking opponents).
-
No gambling or betting is allowed in this game.
-
5.3. Bug, Lag & Rematch Policy
-
If a bug or lag occurs, the Marshall will decide whether to rematch or continue.
-
Possible Decisions:
-
Continue the race if the lag is minor.
-
Rematch the race if the technical issue significantly affects the results.
-

Marshall’s decision is final.
5.4. Waiting Time & Disqualification (DQ)
-
All players must be ready in the game lobby before the match starts.
-
Players who are late by more than 3 minutes will be automatically disqualified (DQ).
-
Organizers can use platforms like Challonge or Toornament to manage the event.
6. OFFLINE TOURNAMENT REGULATIONS
-
Organizers who wish to host offline (physical) tournaments MUST obtain a license & permit from local authorities.
-
The event must comply with the laws and regulations set by:
-
Local Government & Municipal Authorities (PBT).
-
Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia (KBS).
-
Malaysia Esports Integrated (MESI).
-

If the tournament violates any country’s laws, it is NOT allowed to be hosted there.
-
Organizers can collaborate with MMG Trading or Battle of Speed Studio for sponsorships and tournament hosting.
7. DECISIONS & RULE CHANGES
-
The Organizer & Marshall’s decisions are final.
-
The Organizer reserves the right to modify the rules if necessary.
-
Any rule changes will be announced in advance.

BATTLE OF SPEED: CLUB RACE (TEAM TOURNAMENT)
OFFICIAL RULES

1. GAME FORMAT
-
This mode is played in a 3 vs 3 (Team vs Team) format.
-
Each race consists of 6 racers – 3 from each team.
-
The winner is determined by team points, not just individual placements.
-
The game is played online, and players must use their own internet connection.
​
2. POINT SYSTEM
Points are awarded based on finishing positions:
-
1st Place → 6 Points
-
2nd Place → 4 Points
-
3rd Place → 3 Points
-
4th Place → 2 Points
-
5th Place → 1 Point
-
6th Place → 0 Points

Determining the Winning Team

The total points from all team members are counted.
-
In case of a tie, the team with the highest individual placement (1st, 2nd, etc.) wins.

3. TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Group Stage (Round Robin) → Each team competes against all other teams in the group.
-
Knockout Stage → Top teams advance to the semifinals and finals.
-
Grand Final → The two best teams compete in a final race to determine the champion.

4. GAME RULES & REGULATIONS
4.1. Participation & Technical Requirements

Device: Only mobile devices are allowed.
-
Internet: Players are responsible for their own internet connection.
-
Teams: 3 main players + 1 substitute (optional).
4.2. Race Rules
-
Track Selection: Determined by the organizer or randomly selected.
-
Bike Selection: Only allowed categories within the tournament can be used.
-
Sportsmanship & Behavior:
-
No offensive or vulgar language.
-
Respect other players and maintain sportsmanship.
-
No gambling or betting is allowed with this game.
-
4.3. Bug, Lag & Rematch Policy
-
If a bug or lag affects the race, the decision to rematch or continue is up to the marshall.
-
The marshall will assess the situation and may:
-
Continue the race if only one or two players experience minor lag.
-
Call for a rematch if the majority of players experience a bug that significantly impacts the race results.
-

The marshall’s decision is final and must be respected by all participants.
4.4. Penalties & Disqualification (DQ)
-
Unsportsmanlike behavior (e.g., intentionally crashing teammates, reverse driving) → -2 point penalty
-
Trolling / not moving during the race → Auto DQ
-
Using mods, hacks, or any cheats → Permanent tournament ban

5. DECISIONS & RULE CHANGES
-
The organizer’s and marshall’s decisions are final.
-
The organizer has the right to modify the rules as needed.
-
Any changes will be announced to participants in advance.

6. PRIZES & RECOGNITION
-
Tournament Champion → Club Race Champion title + grand prize.
-
Runner-Up → Silver Runner-Up Reward.
3. Top Racer (MVP) → Player with the highest points in the tournament.
